synthetic rubber analog

i wanted to ask if 2 phenyl 1,3 butadiene might be lighter and more durable rubber monomer than either butadiene or isoprene.

The added phenyl group would hinder the polymer, after it is synthesized, from stretching and flexing in the way that normal artificial rubber does. It would, as the result, be much harder but very likely brittle, rather like polypropylene and especially polystyrene, which are comparable substituted analogs of polyethylene.
