Does anyone have experience with buying from the following shop?

http://www.hms-beagle.com/xampp/htdocs/shop/

I want to buy elemental arsenic there, for my element collection.
It is almost impossible to get here in NL.

It's pretty strange, they list As2O3, KCN, Tl-metal, HF-acid, etc.

I wonder if they can ship As internationally. I just send an email.

I've had no trouble ordering from them, but I'm only a few hundred miles away.

And what did you order if I may ask? If you ordered something like MgSO4, thats something entirely different from As.

They have very minimal quantities of some pretty good chemicals. If it everything goes good I might order from them for specifics.

I was surprised to find Ac2O (tiny quantities/prohibitive pricing!)and equally suprised to find no Darwinium. . .

Jor, this company is not of any use for you. According to their webpage they only ship within the continental United States.

This not really true ;)

He send me this email:

Joris:
We can mail the arsenic element sample to you. The cost would be the
cost of the sample plus international parcel post (we recommend "Flat Rate
Box - Priority Mail"). The Thallium could be included in the same package
for no extra postage.

If you look carefully, the description of the chemicals either includes or excludes the quote 'NO INTERNATIONAL SALES'. These include oxidisers, hazardous liquids and some others. Strangely, it seems they can ship arsenic trioxide and arsenic overseas.
Another strange thing is that they do not ship mercuric iodide, chloride, oxide and thiocyanate , but they do ship mercuric nitrate and mercurous chloride. They seem to ship HF as well.

Ill probably order some phosphorus pentasulfide too, if costs of shipping are not too high.

So I think this could be a good source for us, if shippings are not too high. I want some chemicals really bad, but I must always buy them in large quantities, e.g. 100g or more.
Here i can buy about 10g, most of the time more than enough for many experimiments.
Strangely it seems that KCN has been removed since yesterday from the list. Also strange they list sodium hypophosphite and iodine, a list 1 chemical IIRC.

Maybe you confused K cyanate with KCN? When I saw your post, I looked at the site (which I had not heard of before), and specifically looked for KCN, and didn't find it. BTW - There is nothing illegal about selling/buying List I chems, AFAIK, there must be records kept, however. In practice, they are very hard to get.

Jor, it is nice that they are willing to ship, but do you really want arsenic from a non-EU country? Keep in mind that the materials have to go through customs. Last year I had a nice deal with a member from this forum, who sent to me interesting materials like Ru-compounds and some other special metal salts. He also offered me to send some uranium oxide or other uranium compounds. I decided I did not want those U-compounds and I'm glad I did. When I received the parcel, it was opened and resealed and it had a note on the outside that it was opened by customs for inspection purposes. They did not find anything which was bad in their eyes, but I'm quite sure that the U-compounds would be bad, and stuff like As and As2O3 also would be bad in their eyes! So, be careful! If they find something suspicious you may introduce a lot of trouble for yourself.

I personally only order more "dangerous" and or "suspicious" chemicals from EU-based companies or persons just for the reasons mentioned above.
