diAmmine, diNitro Platinum

milovess - 21-12-2018 at 04:40

Hello Guys, I want to create diAmmine, diNitro Platinum from H2PtCL6, but I don't know how, so please enlighten me! I saw on youtube comment section that this is the most soluble salt in water which contains Platinum ion.

On the SM library there are several books on platinum metal chemistry and that is probably the best place to start searching.

Thank you Boffis, wherever this SM library is!

Just a thought; what's the oxygen balance for this compound and how does it compare with other explosives?

Hmmm...? No mention here of explosive or oxidising properties...

If you stick lots of nitro or nitrate groups and anything that may act as a fuel (like an ammine)in teh same molecule you are asking for trouble.

but (I think) with a better oxygen balance.
