Competitive Chemistry!

ok so math and physics have all sorts of academic competitions, so why can't chemistry? it could be done at schools or in local chapters. there'd be teams and they'd be presented challenges like having to synthesize various things or extract chemicals from a solution. the teams would be awarded points on how quickly and efficiently the completed the challenge.

so what do you think? I think it will remind the general public that Chemistry is actually an academic subject :o.

such things exists, you just have to look a little harder than for math and physics.
