Where is Blogfast25 ?

Blogfast25 was good people.

He sold some aluminum powder that somehow wound up in the possession of someone declared a 'terrorist' that shot a guy. The aluminum powder was not used in terrorism.

He was sloppy in his chemical storage and labeling after admonishing others to be careful in storage and labeling. The four chemicals in question are definitely banned without a license (even for a business). I am not certain about the laws in england but here in the US they couldn't 'stack' the charges in most places. So they couldn't have given him 8 years.

They acknowledged he hadn't sold controlled chemicals. He got busted on possession because he didn't dispose of them before the deadline. I am not certain why you would do a controlled detonation for anything listed. Nitric acid and hydrogen peroxide don't detonate. Potassium Chlorate and Perchlorate won't detonate easily either. My guess is they simply added some carbonate to the nitric acid and rust to the peroxide, then burned the chlorates and perchlorates with sugar. Because police chemist like that stuff too.

As for RBs claim blogfast25 was a spy, I find that unlikely.
Both of them being somewhat mentally unstable at times, very likely.

Whew, 8 yrs mac ─ 'had me worried there for a minute.

I was going with 8 months but I still had to check...

It was just 8 mths, mac ─ 'still a lot for something really rather trivial...

As for Gert, I hope he's well and that he's over what must have been a very unpleasant experience.

I want to know what happened to Praxichys. Surely someone on this board has his contact information....

Rosco just needs to be persecuted to promote the liberal persecution programming that kicked into gear this week to pour the foundation for that if US House goes D next month.

...I wonder who started the popular accusers/deep state/CIA/libs rumor the week before...

Good to know! I can understand that....

hissingnoise:
blogfast25 had four chemicals and could have gotten 2 years each.
But in the US they would have had to run them concurrent.
So his 8 month sentence in the UK was probably not particularly lenient for a first offender. And in fact seems pretty harsh given the maximum of 2 years.
I think they were upset he didn't get a license even though he was warned.

Side note:
He probably can't come on a chemistry board until his criminal behavior order is lifted.
I don't think we have a similar thing in the US so not sure how that works.

JJay - 9-10-2018 at 21:01

You'd think that in the UK people would have fundamental rights like free speech... perhaps we would be regarded as bad influences, though... if he started talking to us, we'd get him back into doing chemistry again....

What?! UK laws are that stupid?!<sneer><sneer><sneer>

I don't think you are allowed internet access in prison. (maybe it changed or something idk). If you are then I would assume they are limited.

No, the thing I'm sneering about is UK stacking charges, not banning internet in prisons...

macckone - 10-10-2018 at 14:41

He is supposedly out by now.
But it appears he is banned from doing chemistry based on the information provided.

Vomaturge - 18-11-2018 at 11:14

Just noticed that he logged in today.

https://www.sciencemadness.org/whisper/member.php?action=vie...

If he has been visiting, and it's a well known fact, then I'll just delete this pointless message. If this is a new development, then I'll leave it up.

j_sum1 - 18-11-2018 at 14:12

Well, that is good news.
Bloggers generally visited the board invisible so we might not notice his presence anyway.

I am not really expecting him to return but will interpret this as a "thumbs up, doing ok".

fusso - 17-4-2019 at 01:11

Why isn't he posting if he's fine? I see him last active today too.

unless you think that you can personally help,
I think that the easiest way to help would be to not keep this thread alive.
