A splint is a simple long and thin wooden rod used in scientific labs.

General

Splints are typically long, thin strips of wood, about 150 mm long and 5-6 mm wide.

Availability

Splints can be bought from lab suppliers or online.

Wooden barbecue skewers are essentially identical to lab wooden splints.

DIY splint

You can make a simple wooden splint from... wood. All you need is a knife, axe or some other bladed item, a piece of wood and precision.
