A rubber policeman (or just policeman) is a hand-held flexible natural rubber scraper, used in labs during gravimetric analysis, where delicate and precise weighting is required.

General
The common type of policeman consist of a scalpel-like rubber scraper, with a hollow tube which allows it to be attached to a glass rod.
Plastic policemen are very similar in construction to plastic spatulas, though the policemen have more fine edges. Metal versions are indistinguishable from microspatulas.
