Hershberg-type stirrer?

Recently,I've read the"Hershberg-type stirrer" in one paper ,but I am not familiar with it.
Could someone who has ever used it or is familiar with it tells me what it is(A figure of it will be better)?

How about this?

Heavy stainless steel, nichrome. monel, or tantalum wire have all been used, depending on what was being stirred.

Journal of Chemical Education, Aug 1994 has a modified one, while a drawing is at http://designer-drugs.com/pte/12.162.180.114/dcd/chemistry/p...

may be other pics, all that Google found.

the link are pretty cool but you can usually use a magentic stirrer- as an aside an old old writeup on methylA in my files refrred to a Hirshberg Stirrer-

The pdf's are trying to load as "viewthread.php" files- what's wrong with my machine or settings?
