what is a "contactor coil?"
I have a 1945 patent on treating glycerides in a way that was new then. In the general description and the examples is the phrase "contactor coil" as
a device bringing fluids together. I don't have a clue and Google didn't provide much in the way of possibilities that seemed to fit.

Heat exchanger? Mixer of some sort?
Offhand, the term brings to mind the electromagnet in an electrical contactor (large relay). Something tells me that's less useful.

I would abandon the heat exchange part and focus on the mixing. It must have been a device of art back then.
