Aerogels: Work in Progress

Here is the Link to the Illumina-Chemisry-Board:
http://illumina-chemie.de/aerogele-part-1-(work-in-progress)-t4458.html

Sorry for description in German and the Link only, because that´s the place where all information will be collected.

Do not know if it is possible to make an article out of it, because it´s very equipment specific...

If somebody has questions and/or problem with German, please feel free to ask, I will translate or answer it here in English.

Short description: Trial to synthesize Aerogels, establish a protocol (SOP) and developing the necessary equipment for that purpose.

Good to see it looks like they are producing strong and stable panels of the stuff that could be of use. The old stuff was very crumbly. I can't seem to open the article... but I can't really read in German anyway so it probably doesn't matter as I won't understand it anyway. lol.

Nice to see super critical CO2 in use too (although I suspect it has many uses - it was new when I first heard about it in the 90's).
