Looking for help building my down's cell
I already know all the physics and chemistry behind but I am looking for some advice from people who have actually built them and can offer some
construction tips
Right now I am looking for a suitable heat source, preferably electric and it must get at least 700 C, I am using a NaCL CaCl mixture
EDIT: I searched this site but found few actual building instructions, mostly just more chemical formulas

Have you searched this site to see what work may already have been done on this subject?

I've built one before, see my references to it in the thread entitled "Hot electrochemical sodium". Also, 700*C is way too hot. Your salt will
volatilize. Please research more. I can send you an email if you like...

Ya an email would be great! I sent you an U2U with my address.
Also because I am using the 40% NaCl + 60% CaCl2 mix I would need a minimum of 580 C, and 700 C would be preferable so I can build a larger machine.
