Preparation of cerrusite from Pb ex scrap or roofing.
Here in UK one needs a "special" dispensation to use Pb (0xide) paints, also to buy the Pb dihydroxide b dicarbonate, which as far as I can read, is the compound named cerrusite used, mixed with an oil ,to make the
artist's paint.
Now just because I can not get it - I WANT it !!
I am slowly making some by suspending Pb over weak acetic acid and leading in CO2 from a Soda Stream bottle - regulator from aquarium supplier.
I know electrolytic production is the next step and have detail of various processes Sperry;ThompsonStewart;A.P.Brown - has anyone done this ?
