Spent TCCA Disposal

Sorry if an answer to this already exists : i did use the FSE and drew a blank.

After using TCCA + HCl for Cl2 generation, what is/are the product(s) and what would be the safest method for the disposal thereof ?

Cyanuric acid is the byproduct, see here : http://www.sciencemadness.org/talk/viewthread.php?tid=5686 This is also used as a chemical for swimming pools and is nontoxic, so I simply discard small amounts in domestic trash. I believe the reaction is C3N3Cl3O3 + 3HCl --> C3N3H3O3 + 3Cl2

Many Thanks gdflp.

The stoichiometry helps enormously, as does the link to woelen's post.

Today was my first attempt at it's use in Cl2 production.

Foaming and Overspill into the conc H2SO4 drying flask was a moment of extreme Worry.

It ended well, and i have 110ml of S2Cl2 :)
