The Imris Motor
An interesting variation on the old idea of an
" overbalancing wheel " . Yes folks , it is
a classic example of a " perpetuum mobile "
The phd behind this patent has about fifty other patents
to his credit ......or perhaps his discredit ? , also .
Anybody ever experimented with this gadget ?

Set your mind at rest, you can be sure someone is doing just that.
A very complete resource of this phenomenom is here ->
http://www.phact.org/e/dennis4.html
Another very worthwhile to peruse ->

For a graphical depiction of how a perpetual motion inventor's
mind and imagination works see -> http://blueballfixed.ytmnd.com/
All are aspiring Leonardo DaVinci's.

All very interesting and amusing , yet nowhere in those
pages did I see any mention of Imris .....
and there seems to be another glaring omission also ,
which is of course the Gary motor .
http://www.rexresearch.com/gary/gary1.htm
The Gary motor concept is interesting to me because
I have myself supposed that there possibly could be some workable scheme for interaction of magnetism and gravity which would function as an
oscillator or motor of sorts , something like the mechanical analogue of an
electronic oscillator " tank circuit " . I have some ideas of my own concerning such things , but have never built
any actual experimental models for study .
The site indexes some other interesting stuff , including
a few of Teslas ideas .

Ideas are like fleas , in that they jump from one person to another
but they don't bite everyone. I had also been bitten by this bug.
There is literally no end to these things , new ones are proposed
all the time , acheiving instant oblivion in the archives of patent
literature. It is only with diligent vigilance and research that
they can be uncovered and rediscovered. As an enthusiast you will
be going down a road not well traveled , over which many before
you have ventured to a place from which no one has yet returned.

Some things that look like they might work .....don't work at all .
Regarding the " gravity motor " linked above ...
some others have debunked it
