Sharing sources...


I was wondering/interested in how everyone goes about researching compounds - kind of what order - books - sites you normally use - and if i'm missing any good ones - here is a list of what i use to find out most of what i can get - if anyone has more general chemistry sources to share - especially Electronic books i dont have - please dont hesitate to add

I find http://chemfinder.cambridgesoft.com/ to be very useful for the first stage of research, as it gives a structure for nearly every compound on the database as well as all sorts of alternate names, which in some cases is very helpful.

Searching is free for the first five times, then you have to register for free, but they don't bother you with spam or anything and I find it is well worth your 30 seconds of time spent registering.
