Seizure by Roger Hiorns, CuSO4
so, today i continued with my beginning chemistry experiments. I cut the plug off an old cell phone charger adapter that changes 110V AC to 5V DC. i
attatched some scrap copper to the wires and put them in some dilute sulfuric acid, with the hopes of making some copper sulfate. it seemed to work,
the acid turned blue, very cool. im letting it evaporate now.
anyway, i found on line a work of art called "Seizure", by Roger Hiorns. in 2008, he filled a room with 80,000 liters of copper sulfate solution
and let crystals grow all over everything. there are lots of pictures of it online. i searched on the sciencemadness website and didnt see any mention
of it, so i thought id mention it. cheers.

Nice. Any crystals of your own yet?
I remember when I was etching a circuitboard, and left the setup outside in the summer sun for a few days. When I got back, the circuitboard was half
buried in 5mm, deep blue crystals!
