This was one of my planned future projects. My idea was to use an aluminum heat-sink from say a CPU rather then bar stock because it has the nice
grooves like in most commercial melting point apparatuses. The soldering iron is a nice idea for the heat source. My only concern with that design is
probably air flow. Thanks for the post!
