RMBX (30kj/cc) explosive!
Does anyone know anything more about RMBX explosives? There is a website describing them in the link: http://empi-inc.com/Modified_Explosives.html

Sorry to post off-topic, but the <a href="http://empi-inc.com/TEC_Torch.html" target="_blank">TEC Torch™</a> <img

From their description RMBX is a Enhanced Blast explosive (Thermobaric explosive). They used Tantalum which will be more expensive than aluminium used
in typical thermobaric weapons. But keep in mind that detonation pressure of these type of explosive is inferior to that of ordinary pure powerful
explosive but the after burning reaction of the matal (e.g., Ta, Al...) with ambient air or the other additive support the blast wave and thus enhance
the blast pressure. Indeed the long reaction time of metal "burning" with ambient air increase the impulse wich is the integral of P*dt. The reaction
of metal with air is so exothermic that the fireball is brighter than the fireball of conventional high explosive like C-4.
