Thermowell Heating Mantles

What do you think about this kind of heating mantle? This is the kind I use, it's got a hard ceramic interior.

I prefer the soft fabric mantles as it gives it better thermal contact with the RBF. But the hard ceramic of thermowell does heat up faster.

My Thermowell says that it can go to 500 degrees C. How high can the average fiberglass mantle go?
