seems like theres a fair amount of research going on in reguards to anti cancer metallodrugs. cisplatin is quoted on a few sites.

also uses for ketone bodies in alzheimers treatments.

it might not fall under the same area, but silver nitrate has been in use for centuries for all sorts of medical applications.
