drying tube
I was wondering about which drying tube to purchase off ebay. I found various different shape... some straight up, others bent 90degrees angled and
still others U shaped. Is there a reason for the different shapes and which is best for what purpose?

I'll give you an educated WAG.... the form of drying tube used
is determined by mechanics not chemistry, i.e., use whatever
fits into your plumbing.
NB - This Lab Glass catalogue is probable older then most
of those reading this. If you want the prices in the catalogue
you have two choices —
A- marry the daughter of the companies president
B- get a time machine
If anyone gives the south end of a rat - I could supply prices
for several standard pieces of glassware in the catalogue.
Using current prices you could use Mathematica to calculate
a correction factor.
