Preservation of animal organs


I am trying to preserve animal organs for microscopy examination I have used 37% formalin in a 10%formalin 90% distilled water solution does someone have a better idea for preservation?

what about me i've been trying to extend the shelf life of human kidneys and livers in the petri dish enviroment of india and china can i get some help here?

Preserving in formalin usually make the specimens hardened,
you can add circa 15% of glycerin to make it moist.

so i can keep my kidneys in a resaleable condition longer that way?
these cost me a thousand a piece i really need to know it's a time sensitive matter.
