2Ga2O3•3MoO3 and MnMoO4
Hi, there are two compounds which I made. First is gallium molybdenum oxide. It forms 2Ga2O3•3MoO3•15H2O hytrate, which is white, I was heating
for a long time(not at high temperature) so it lost water. Pretty nice yellow compound, I also made gallium Tungsten oxide
hydrate(Ga2O3•2WO3•8H2O), which is also white, maybe i will try anhydrous compound. Second one is manganese molybdate monohydrate, It has a more
yellow color than can be seen in the photo. It used as a catalyst, but it's also good for colourful chemicals collection.

hello Vano, thanks for sharing. As always, those are very interesting compounds. How did you make them?

I think that gallium molybdenum oxide is some kind of gallium molybdate.
How did you make your manganese molybdate? My is creamy white. It seems that it is little bit contaminated by hexamolybdatomanganate(II) which is
orange.

Thanks. First compound i made it from gallium nitrate nonanhydrate and sodium molybdate dihydrate. Second one from manganese chloride tetrahydrate and
sodium molybdate.

Of course it's kind of molybdate. In my opinion it's writing style looks like 5Na2O • 12MoO3 it is sodium paramolybdate. This gallium molybdate has
other name but i donk know, Because it was not written anywhere.
I made it from manganese chloride tetrahydrate a d sodium molybdate dihydrate. It has no orange color, also not yellow. It has white yellowish colour.
can you show me your molybdate?

On the left is (NH4)4H6[Mn(MoO4)6], on the right is MnMoO4.
Did you use excess of molybdate/manganese chloride or stoichiometric amounts?
Edit: I just realized - what photo is your MnMoO4? Left or right? I was thiking that left . Right photo looks exactly like MnMoO4.
