Lead Ion perchlorate cell test.
I recently thought of a new idea and thats with regards to the stability of perchloric acid which means a membrane type perchlorate cell should work.
Using feed of NaClO3 ive produced copper chlorate, iron chlorate and various exotic chlorates.
The idea now is to produce lead chlorate in solution till it becomes milky white due to it being insoluble.
The next step was swapping the anode with graphite and using air pump as agitation running at 0.5 amps for a few hours to buildup a coating of PbO2.
After reading some papers the PbO2 during a perchlorate cell run actually can be attacked by the solution usually to a minimal level however since the
anode chamber has a lot of lead ions existing in it then any exposed graphite just gets coated in PbO2 and errosion is minimized.
The cell has been running for quite some time and is not suffering the usual symptoms of running graphite in a perchlorate cell.

I can even add a lead electrode + resistor or sth to act as a 2nd anode which will keep lead ions in anode side high

You can add lead metal to copper chlorate solution or make chloric acid from calcium hydroxide and copper chlorate

so uhh ive ran my lead ion perchlorate cell and made a friggin GSLD that was made in lead perchlorate/chlorate and it seems stable in these
solutions!!

Just watch out for the spray emanating from the electrodes when working with soluble lead compounds. It is persistant and travels far in the room. A
lot of contamination results and it can become a serious health hazard.
Exact science is a figment of imagination.......

yea cell is usually covered with super absorbant cloth while running and btw rn im plating MMO with PbO2 because this PbO2 is highly conductive unlike
the piss poor acetate electrolyte PbO2, I think the acid being an oxidizing acid (chloric/perchloric) acid makes the other form of PbO2.
