I was wondering about how a plant could be cloned without a seed this video shows how it's done.
This is interesting because it shows how you don't have to Wait for the plant to pollinate then to produce seeds.

I have been considering to try some plant tissue culture and also growing yeasts & fungus but i have decided to put it on hold until i have
acquired a flowhood with a H14 Hepa filter.
Using a still air box/glovebox is quite annoying and working in front of a flowhood is so much easier and way much less contamination.
A fundamental part of this type of growing is to keep things absolutely sterile and seeing that video, the second one where he touches the explants
with his bare fingers will not work.
There will be contamination in those plates for sure.
But it can be done on a budget with just a pressure cooker and a glovebox as long one is careful and keeping it sterile.

Working under a Bunsen burner is less ideal than a flow cabinet, but it works for sure to keep things sterile. I never worked in a glovebox though.

tissue cultures is something i had in my projects pipeline for a while. As the others already said, as pretty much all BIO work, you need a sterile
envirorment, once you set up a laminar flow hood you can have fun with tissue cultures, mycelium cultures, yeast and bacterial cultures.
Plant hormones are pretty cool tho, making calluses, growing roots from calluses and then the whole plant by just changing the agar media.
My original interest for tissue cultures originated because i wanted to multiply fast some salvia divinorum, but where i live it is illegal, and i
can't find live cuttings near me even if i went down the illegal path.
I ordered from china some gibberellic acid( to experiment on my plants) a few months ago, but nothing arrived yet :c

Here is where i buy Plant growth regulators, tissue culture media and other things, its a German shop.

They seem to have restricted delivery now (only Europe i think) because of covid but usually delivers everywhere.
They are professional and have good PGR, media mixes and additives of many kinds.
Even other things as absolute dehydrated ethanol 99,98 % Ph.Eur.,
The absolute ethanol is expensive though.
