chlorating paper
last week i made k chlorate from bleach , fallowin the nurdage video and i gravity filter it in buchner funel, 2 day later i check i but no trace of
filter paper , just a chwin gum like mass.(the solution contain NaCl, KCl NaClO, KClO,NaClO3 and KClO3) so i test it like another compound and at the
fame test it detonate cruching the steel wire basket! (i waigted it befor : 0.73gram) does it is ossible to chlorating cellulose or someting in the
paper?

Bleach is ~5% NaClO in a strong solution of NaOH!
Your paper (whatever it was?) was probably attacked by the caustic mixture . . .

No the paper won't be oxidized, unless you dry the filters (for filtering off the solids like anode partcles) and rub it which may detonate.
I used brown coffee filters which were bleached by the ClO-.

my paper was coffee filter and the bleach coutain only arround 1% NaOH.
