Christmas is approaching , any ideas ?
Christmas is approaching, and neighborhood community is having a Christmas party and they asked me if I can do something creative for Christmas. Any
of you have any idea on Christmas themed chemistry demonstrations? Any creative idea is welcome. I know it's a bit too early for Christmas .But if I
get more ideas I can learn to perform that.

Red and green flames using copper / boric acid / barium salts for the green and strontium / lithium salts for the red. A few diffierent
configurations are possible. Alcohol burners of some description may be the simplest.

Blue bottle reaction, chemical chameleon and Briggs-Rauscher reaction are beautiful colour-changing reactions.

Our tradition is to always do a reaction with bleach (sodium hypochlorite). Not sure why but it has worked out that way.

A fun demonstration. But make sure to do it safely (i.e. not pour methanol on a flame). People have been badly burned from this.
