Cary spectrometer
What is a Cary spectrometer? I have a paper describing its use as a way to assess concentrations in log Octanol studies. I haven't run across it
before.

Cary is simply the old name of the manufacturer. In this case, they are referring to a UV-VIS spectrophotometer. Anyhow, today, Varian bought Cary, so
now you would be using a "Varian Cary" followed by the model name, for example "eclipse". My new spectrofluorometer is thus "Varian Cary Eclipse".
