Substitute for carbon tetrachloride
Hey guys, I was wondering if anyone knew of a good substitute for carbon tetrachloride? I am making nylon 6,6 through adipoyl chloride, and need
something that help form adipoyl chloride.
Thanks

Carbon tetrachloride can be nearly always be subsitute with Chloroform
If chlorform isn't available, I this case I would use low boiling petrol ether (or pentane/hexane etc.) . I used pentane myself for Nylon 6,6. it also
works good enough.
