Vanadinite
Hi all , i have a mineral who look like vanadinite ( lead chlorovanadate ) but i'm not sure , i'd like to find an easy way to test the presence of
vanadium without any doubt , thanks a lot .

Simple qualitative wet chemical tests for vanadium are usually based on the V being present as vanadate. You will need to powder your sample and fuse
it with a mixture of sodium carbonate and nitrate and then dissolve in water.
Attached, are a couple of tests for the presence of vanadate;

The image came from "Google Books" after searching for "vanadium qualitative tests"
It's "Advanced Quantitative Analysis" by Hobart Willard, 468 pages - not sure when it was initially published. Here's an Amazon link;
