a while back on this site their was some interest in turning moth balls dichlorobenzene into chlorobenzene
i went through a few patents looking for possible ways of doing this and have come across a few methods and figured i would get some input before
looking to much deeper most of the reactions here could also be done to achieve benzene
method 1
dichlorbenzene palladium and iron to make chlorobenzene and benzene variations in heat will change final product
method 2
dichlorbenzene silver and iron to make chlorobenzene an benzene not much info on this
method 3
is similar to the pdf here to make benzene from sodium benzoate except uses chloride salts /carbon that are heated to 300c to make benzene and
chlorbenzene
method 4
pressure cook dichlorobenzene in hydrochloric acid or ammonia acetate to produce chlorobenzene
which method do you guys feel would me the viable method to use to make chlorobenzene
