stainless steel bicycle frame
nowadays you see a lot of bicycle frames which have been plated with crome. i was wondering why you don't see a lot of bicycle frames made from
stainless steel, would it be too expensive or would the alloy be less stong?

Ummm. Stainless isn't incredibly easy to either weld or solder.
ChromeMoly rusts.
I once suggested to a pioneer frame builder, that anodizing areas of Stainless/then Copper plating them etc., might render them easy to solder or
braze. He liked the idea, but I don't think he ever got around to trying it. The off-roaders he eventually became famous for, usually utilized TIG
welded large diameter aircraft-alloy Aluminum in their frames.

The delorean, as cool as it looked , was a dismal failure.
Quality control was poor, service was a nightmare. The company didn't last very long.
