read from the 7th post by Paregoric Kid

the best is the way they write chemical equations(the post by DCBA), and the fun only begins from there:D

i wonder what nicodem would say to them;)

Threads like this are some of the best of SM, sadly these days it seems like these detailed and well made write ups are few and far between :(

I was surprised, but happy to see some of the things I wrote in the beginning. One I didn't even remember posting, asking what would happen if praxchis's mother 'became obsolete'.
There've been some really funny things stated, but I cant remember any at the moment.

Forget all the crap we post here, this may be the best post on the forum in terms of quality.

Kind of sad that someone would consider mildly funny banter as "the best of SM".

The best is of course actual experiments, not hypothetical drivel. I might be biased, but for me the most relevant contributions happen to be more or less blatant cookery, e.g. https://www.sciencemadness.org/whisper/viewthread.php?tid=11...
Substance abuse is a good motivator. :)

Seriously? I think all of this recent talk of cookery making up the majority of recent posts is greatly overexaggerated. There's a few posts here and there, sure. But there are countless other active threads that have nothing to do with cookery. Sure, there haven't been many nice syntheses lately, but there has been plenty of good discussion.

As for the stuff posted in this thread, well, I'm inclined to agree with you. The silly stuff that has been posted is fun to look back on, but clearly not the most valuable content by any means.

The term "Best of SM" was meant sarcastically. Ever heard of the Best of Craigslist?

This is the best burn I've ever seen on the forum.

Nitric acid is still available for washing milking machines. I wouldn't mind getting my hands on a few gallons and washing the local tax official.

Only problem of that burn is i'm not to sure who it was actually directed at. The only two people I can think of is ether Me or Turd.

I just made you read this very pointless signature. How does it feel?

Sounds interesting.... acquire some?
If you get a chance, and have some Ferro- or Ferricyanide around, I'd love to see what color each indicator turns with solutions of various lanthanides.

perhaps it's best that some people are permabanned, but damn if they don't crank out the lulz while they're here.
