Hint...it has to do with the low basicity of urea and with the low acidity and volatility of H2CO3...
HNO3 and oxalic acid are sufficiently acidic to form a urea salt, both can be used for precipitation of urea...

During the Civil War the South had the ladies donate their pee to be used as nitrate for gun powder. It had to be boiled down to use it and when it
was made into Gunpowder it really pissed of the neighbours to the North.
