There is a way to sort alphabetically. Just tell me what you want to base the sorting off of and I can do it when I get home.

@TheMrbunGee is that good enough?
@ninhydric please also provide the method after doing the sorting. Thanks a lot.

I made some improvements to the document:
1. I froze the top 4 rows so the important info is present regardless of how far you scroll.
2. I alphabetized the spreadsheet based on the name of the compound. You can do so in the "Data" settings.

Looks good, good thing that the sorting could be done after all! I'm not a
google sheets expert.

Since yesterday!
EDIT: could the sorting be done to empty cells also, so it would sort new entries automatically? It doesn't now..

If you add new entries, you have to re-sort in every time, unfortunately.

I do see... I suppose I must update my signature and perhaps write another entry or two... I suppose I have neglected it a tad bit...

Are you going to periodically re-alphabetize the document? I added a simple synthesis and it did not automatically alphabetize as I thought it would.
I honestly have little experience with google sheets.

@ninhydric how did you alphabetize them?
If we have the method then we can put it in the doc and have everyone sort them after entering their data.
(edit: added point)

Sorry to bring this back, but I am having some problems with the spreadsheet. I cant get the procedure for iodine to conform with the format of the
other procedure spaces. It will not create a new line like it has in the past once it ran out of space, it is for some reason continuous. Not sure
why, didn't do that in the past. I am also having trouble getting it to alphabetize automatically, I thought we had fixed that. Seems a few others
have to.
To fusso: I saw in another thread you made someone had made a space for chloroform and didn't write anything else. I went ahead and fixed that, it
wasn't contributing to the document and was taking up space in the form.
Another thing that I wanted to bring up is the possibility of adding this to the wiki and just use the document as a submission page. Having a quick
and easy list of various synthesis would be great, bring more people to the wiki and having a list of chemicals made by sciencemadness members is kind
of neat. Some people have mentioned adding it to the wiki throughout this thread and the more I think of it the better it sounds. I have time on my
hands and could do it as well as keep it up to date, but I don't have editing access on the wiki and also VSEPR_VOID should have dibs since he made
the document in the first place. The members in charge of the wiki could do it if they wanted as well.
If you guys don't think it should be added, that is alright, but I am interested to see what y'all think.

I like the new formatting. Someone with an official Science Madness gmail address should make a copy of the document and add it to the wiki and maybe
give it a sticky. It could be a very useful tool.
