Im not sure I fully understand what being said since I read it really quick and I have to be somewhere soon but the idea sound simular to how a TEA
laser works. In the laser setup there is a common foil plate under an insulator and there is two plates seperated on the top with a small gap with a
resistor connecting the two to ensure they are both charged. When the spark gap is triggered it causes a rapid change in current across the two plates
and in an instant an extremely high voltage cascade is observed across the gap between the two. If the impedence is kept low and the discharge is able
to occure in under 2.5 nano seconds then it will stimulate the N2 in the air causing lasing to occure in the UV range.
I may be way off base like I said im in a rush but is this a simular circuit?
