Really? And you have evidence for that? Because my own experience tells me otherwise. eBay is really a bit of a 'pile'm high, sell'em cheap'
kind of place: box standard stuff, competitively priced, sells well. I routinely search for more exotic stuff and mostly draw a blank: that indicates
that no one as yet has found it worthwhile offering it there. I'm broadly generalising, of course...

You're right. My friend tried selling some of the precious metal salts that we had no need for. Rhenium, ruthenium, iridium. One or two people made
small purchases, but there was no sustained interest over a few months. Auction led to many unrealistically low bids and selling price, from people
with no genuine interest. The general demand for valuable and rare chemicals on there is very low, and one can hardly sell off excess stock that has
been paid for. Buying to sell specifically would be very unwise.
