Stick to thanking them for the opportunity, politely ask for feedback as to why you were not selected, and ask to be considered next time a position
opens up.
Frankly, if a potential intern sent me that letter I would be even more reluctant to hire you. It comes across as cocky and presumptuous ( as has been
said), neither of which I would consider desirable in an intern. Remember you may have been second choice, or there may have been many more
candidates ranked ahead of you.
Be polite, and a little humble.
