kaon particle


hey guys I’m doing a project on a kaon particle ... i need to know the accelerator used to accelerate the particle ( i belive it was the cloud chamber), how it works and how the particle was created if some one can help me id greatly appreciated

Smashing things together makes a big huge ugly jumble of things, up to some maximal particle which is worth all the energy in the collision. Electric and magnetic fields select particles according to charge, mass and spin. If done quickly enough and with enough energy (so the gamma factor is large), you can create beams of some particle for some distance.

I'm guessing you have a *lot* of reading to go, as a cloud chamber is a viewing apparatus, not an accelerator. Indeed, the particles typically spend a lot of time in the cloud chamber, in order to see them, and on occasion, see their decay as well...
