My new blasting machine


This is my electronic blasting machine
Weight:650 g
Max voltage:300v - 13.5j

2AA battery 3v as input voltage source

I use camera flash circuit - aluminum box and...

Of course, there is still a lot of work to be done Like sticking labels and signs.

I am sure we could still find camera flashes here. Check out a professional photographer store. Or do they still sell disposable cameras?

I will try building one with what I have here, I imagine its a boost converter and if its working off 2 AA's it's not drawing too much current from the source, you could probably mod it to us good high discharge rechargeable 18650s like the SAMSUNG INR 18650 3000 mAh with a 20 A peak discharge and get better life out of it.

Edit:

I guess you would still need a cap network to hold the charge.

I use an old nikon camera.
removed the camera parts. Then I used a higher quality capacitor. And to show that the voltage level was sufficient, I designed and built a separate circuit (because I changed the capacitor The voltage level didn't work anymore).

I started an EBW circuit but i have abandoned it for now. I have already built it and everything was working fine, except for some reason, while the Caps was charged, there was no wire explosion. I was thinking that maybe my caps were problematic (x2 microwave oven caps in series) or the LM regulator did not allow much current to flow through the circuit in order to charge the caps properly. I was planning to add another LM Vregulator in parallel or just completely remove it and test it again but i have not done it yet and i really dont know when i will do it.

The LM circuit regulates the input voltage for the desired output voltage ( around 4kv).

IR2153 Circuit to invert DC to full-wave AC

For voltage divider, i used R1 40Mohm R2 678Kohm for 1/100 since my vmeter got 1Mohn internal resistance. I added a small variable resistor to R2 and checked the vdivider with a 12v battery in milivolt scale until i got 120milivolt. At this point, i was sure that my vdivider was at 1/100

The voltage multiplier circuit was made with UF 4007 diodes and 2kv 10nf caps

The circuit with the brown square was made with 3 relays and made so when the EBW fires, the whole circuit will stop operating to prevent the caps from charging after firing.

What kind of button is that? I have built things similar to this and my switches always get welded shut after a few uses.

Do you mean the trigatron ? I used 2 brass rods in few mm distance and a TV transformer to send an arc in order to close the circuit.

I was talking about the button on the original post. Id love to see a schematic of your trigatron tho, I have yet to find a good design for a homemade one!

My capacitor: 350 micro, max voltage 400v
When charged near 300v >> u:0.5*c*v*v=15.75j
My electric key (600v -20 amp)

Bit of a vague question but voltage is required to overcome wire resistance, the longer your wire the higher the voltage you need.

Since capacitors are being used and the energy is voltage squared, I would say voltage is more important. The great thing about capacitors is they act as ideal voltage sources for some short time, so within a time constant (R*C) they can provide quite a lot of current. And as already stated the further away you want to get the more voltage you will need.
