Add benzene and let the pib to dissolve, filter and collect the RDX

Can another solvent be used instead of benzene?

In theory, anything that can dissolve pib without dissolving rdx can be used.

Both xylene and toluene should work.

It does if the binder is ordinary PIB and a compatible plasticizer. You should knead it to accelerate the process, and possibly also heat it gently (I
would suggest ca. 40C). Also, whatever solvent you decide to use, you will need a couple washes before the binder level gets low enough for the
product to be free flowing.

I will remove 10 grams of c4 and will test this.

Is it chemically combined with any of the other ingredients, how maybe some water and a centrifuge ?
And when is the expired explosive thrift store having a sale so we can all stock up ?

You're going backwards, lol Most of us are struggling to come up with good binders and plasticizers to make quality "plastique" and you are going the
other way. I guess you have your reasons, good luck. Would heptane or hexane dissolve the binders or PIB? Might be worth looking into
