Hydrogen peroxide out of sodium perborate and other uses (?)
So I made some sodium perborate and I have read that you can make h2o2 with it but i didnt find any specific info on how to do so. So, how could i
make h2o2 out of it? Also are there any other uses for it? I have quite a bit of it and i dont really know what to use it for....

how did you make perborate without using hydrogen peroxide?
you can dissolve it in water and it will hydrolize in an equilibrium reaction to hydrogen peroxide and borate. For pure hydrogen peroxide you would
have to remove the borate somehow

H2O2 is quite difficult to find at least in sweden, and I suspect that goes for all of the EU. Regardless, synthesising chemicals is fun, isn't that
basically the main reason anyone even is here?

In UK hydrogen peroxide above 12% is restricted, but it is fairly easy to concentrate even 3% solution,
here are three common methods ;

Try drugstore. Women use 9 or 12% hydrogen peroxide for hair colouring, so I would be surprised if it isn't there. In CZ can be also buy 10% H2O2 for
cleaning in drugstore and 30% stuff in paints and varnishes store. In farmacy they sell 3% H2O2 disinfection.
If you want to concentrate H2O2, try making SrO2 or BaO2. These peroxides are pretty stable and can be easily filtered off from solution (in contrast
with CaO2). I once made SrO2 from Sr(NO3)2, NaOH and H2O2. I also made some CaO2 (with a terrible yield) and ZnO2. I wanted to try them as a oxidizers
in solid mixtures, but without any success.
