Does Alkylation work on Benzene using Nitro Alkyl Chloride instead Alkyl Chloride ?

I am wondering if somebody tried to react C6H6+CLCH2(HCNO2)CH3 and created C6H5CH2(HCNO2)CH3 + HCL ???????????
If it works than I will do these to obtain 1-Chloro, 2-Nitro Propane
CH3(HCOH)CH3+SOCL2>CH3(HCCL)CH3+SO2+HCL then
CH3(HCCL)CH3+AgNO2>CH3(HCNO2)CH3+AgCL then
CL2+CH3(HCNO2)CH3>CLCH2(HCNO2)CH3+HCL.
And whether anyone dealt with this hypothetic alkylating compound that I wanna use ? Is it stable at stp ? Does it decompose to other stuff like Chloro Acetone does ?
