SADS shelf life

Hello
I’m new here, unfortunately because for the lack of raw materials in my country, I use HMTD in my detonators.
In your opinion is SADS better choice than HMTD?
Does it have better shelf life tan HMTD?
Tnx

It's a lot less sensitive, and I think has better long term stability. Beyond that I don't know much.

Yes, SADS is a better choice. It's way safer and has a better shelf life. I had a batch lying around for years which still performed good.
Wouldn't think of saving HMTD for prolonged periods. Just stay away from organic peroxides whatsoever, they are sneaky and asking for trouble.

Lots of discussion on this. HMTD is bottom of the barrel.

Keep it in darkness- it is sensitive to sunlight. And I read that this compound is sensitive to static discharges- therefore, a few percents of graphite definitely won't make it worse. I made Ag2C2 and it was my mistake- the double salt is less sensitive and more powerful.

Women are more perilous sometimes, than any hi explosive.
