Degradation of aqueous Phenolphthalein solutions?
I think asking about work stuff is against the forum rules

Not against the rules as far as I can read but certainly frowned upon. In my 13 years in industry I think I've posted 3 work-related threads to this
forum. Each one etching away at my street cred

My apologies, I had not realized the rules, and it wasn't my job - but you were right, it was work related. So I deleted my original post - I don't
think I can delete this tread, though if a moderator wants to, I won't take any offense at all.
It just seemed curious to my hobbiest mind that a dilute aqueous PHPH solution (well under its solubility limits in water of.4g / L) could "go bad".
Odd.
Thank you folks for your responses, though, this is a valuable resource.

I think it's ok to keep it there, people's attitude will make it fade away naturally, no need manual deletion.
