Crystals from NaOH + hair + H2O2

I dissolved some of my hair in hot concentrated NaOH solution and let cool to room temperature. The resulting solution was dark orange. Then I added a bit of 30% hydrogen peroxide. The color went away and crystals started forming and after a few seconds the whole solution was turned into crystals. I put this to cool at 10°C for 24H. After that time almost the whole solution volume turned into about 1mm thick white crystals. I dried these with paper and that is what you see in the photo. The crystals dissolve in small amounts of water and their solution is pH 12+. The crystals smell weakly of sulfur.

I know that mixing NaOH solution with 30% H2O2 produces Na2O2 crystals that melt at ~60°C+ and re-crystallize under 30°C, I have already done that reaction. But those crystals are very thin, don't solidify the whole volume and don't look those with dissolved hair present.

I also know that hair is keratin with disulfide and peptide bonds and NaOH breaks these. Oxidation provided by H2O2 is supposed to reform the disulfide bonds.

Armed with these observations, what have I made? Some hydrated complexes of NaOH and amino acids? What should I try to do with them?

(Adding an acid is supposed to form H2S so don't try that)

I think the keratin is hydrolysed back to the amino acids and the crystals are the sodium salts of various amino acids.
This is the AA composition of hair: http://www.keratin.com/aa/aa012.shtml
How concentrated is the NaOH solution? How much hair you used?

That sounds reasonable.

The NaOH solution was close to saturated. I added about 200mg of hair to ~25mL of NaOH solution and afterwards ~3mL of the 30% H2O2. The total mass of the crystals is 11g.

I presume with that little hair vast majority of NaOH must have remained unreacted, so it must have somehow incorporated into the crystals.

Any suggestions on what reactions to try?

Interesting.not as weird as this one https://www.sciencemadness.org/whisper/viewthread.php?tid=13...
Next one will probably be someone trying to distill sperm or vomit.

The actual medieval alchemists did try distilling an egg, and reported the products thereof. I think they got various oils (which they, of course, distilled again to see if they'd get something new).

With the often exuberant fixation that a lot of users have for P, I'm sure someone is at this very moment sitting in a basement somewhere distilling his urine.

Ever hear about the amphetamine aficionado who learned that a lot of his "go" was passing through him before being metabolized? Apparently when he was "discovered" he had about 50 gallons of urine saved. I wonder if they busted him on the wonder molecules contained in his barrel (if they survived) or just for his pioneering intent?

200 mg of anything cannot produce 11 g of Na-salts (of amino acids of something else) even theoretically.

Yeah I heard about that guy distilling unmetabolised 'go' out of his piss.apparently he was cooking it too so he probably had a big enough habit to make it worth the effort.but does distilling any amount out of amphetamine out of 50 gallons of urine something that sound like fun.no it doesn't.imagine being in the same room as that.i imagine that its smell will soak into your skin.and your building and out through the neighborhood right down to the local police station.
