Can you use Water as an eluent on an Alumina column?
Can you use Water as an eluent on an Alumina column?
The only solvent my compound is soluble in is aqueous NaOH at a pH of 10. So I'm thinking of running an alumina column and use water as eluent, will
that work? Any drawbacks?

No. What's your opinion, can you use water as eluent on alumina?

It should be fine to elute. pH 10 isn't high enough to dissolve alumina.
