Labware and chemicals for Belgium and Europe
Hi all,
I'm new on this forum (the only forum i decided to register !).
To begin i'll give you my adresses :
(all accessible for private persons)
Belgium :
* Droguerie le lion : inorganic and organic chem in little quantities.
* Buisset - Distributor of VWR belgium. (Brussels - Anderlecht)
* Radermecker interchimie - (Liège)
France :
* mon-droguiste.com : some chemicals, webshop, send to many lands ! ( see sections : liquides , solides ...)
* Labbox.fr : cheap glassware / labware (privates ok) and expensive chemicals (not for privates) , ask for your local distributor or find someone who
lives in france to reduce costs.
* Allsciences.com and multiexport.fr : webshops and distributors of the biggest chemicals suppliers. Prices of chemicals are reasonable but not for
the labware.
* Verrerie villeurbanaise : expensive glassware, and distributor of VWR.
Spain :
* Labotienda.com : labware & glassware. Go to 'instrumental => labware' menu, there you can find all things to build a grill.
Germany :
* Witeg : glassware, ask for your local distributor.
UK :
minerals-water : chemicals, i discovered it on ebay, cheap chemicals (when i see prices i find how to purify before buying !! )
ebay : a lot of varied suppliers from japan to mars !
Remark to members who hold a website, i encourage you to introduce these adresses.
Salutations !

APCpure co uk you must not forget..
know about a guy from Be who bought 5L H2SO4 96% just like that
the shipping price of it tells me that it was somewhat close, if youre looking for such i can probably get the site or wherever he got it from for you
you can also locate many salesmen of chemicals on ebay by just writing copper sulfate
thereafter in different languages (german always shows alot of results, in this case 'Kupfersulfat')

I'm watching on APC, good price for some things but horribly expensive for other like everywhere i register it.
Yes, on ebay i remarked that germans are mad of chemistry !
For all basic chemicals we can easily find it for good price in BE even if we have to ask to distributors.
But look on allsciences and multiexport ! especially allsciences.com,
they sell to a little bit expensive than the big suppliers, and they centralize the chemicals from :
Acros / Fisher Scientific
Alfa Aesar / Avocado / Johnson Matthey's
Carlo Erba
Chimie Plus
Merck
Prod. techniques (technical products)
Reagecon
Sigma / Aldrich / Fluka
-multiexport.fr deals with Acros organics (+technical products)

Hello.
I'm quite new to the forum, but I've been reading threads for quite som time without being registered.
Doing some experimenting, but mostly gathering lab equipment, chemicals and knowledge.
Living in Sweden and being interested in hobby chemistry is, however, a bit of a problem. No companies, except a few pyrotechnics suppliers, sell
chemicals to private persons here.
A simple chemical like H2SO4 is forbidden to sell here.
Hobby chemistry is virtualy non-existent.
Currently I'm mostly ordering from polish suppliers, but I would like to find other reliable sources of chemicals in Europe.
I'm interested in all kinds of things. Salts, transition metals, solvents etc
There are a few I've found on Ebay f ex:
http://search.eim.ebay.se/?esi=e_2718 Ukraine
http://search.eim.ebay.se/?esi=pure-domestic-chemistry UK
http://search.eim.ebay.se/?esi=intralabs UK
http://search.eim.ebay.se/?esi=mendel888 Hungary
Has anyone had experience with these? Any other good Ebay-sellers in Europe, shipping to other countries?
A lot of users here seem to have a really large and interesting collection of chemicals, even rare or really dangerous/toxic ones. Where do people
aquire all these chemicals?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

By the way, I read a post from the user Woelen in an old thread that labs in several countries are getting rid of expired chemicals to persons who
sell them for 10-20% of the normal price.
http://www.sciencemadness.org/talk/viewthread.php?tid=16656#...
Any info about that would be very interesting. Chemicals are expensive, so I wouldn't mind being able to buy them a bit cheaper.

S3-Chemicals have a very good service and a fairly well selection. Once they sent me an order when a 2,5 kg bucket of activated carbon had a crack and
some 50g spilled into the package. They immediately sent me a new 2,5 kg bucket after I notified them (I didn't ask for a new one).
Prices are a little too high on many items IMO, but that is subjective anyway. If you are used to prices bigger labs or universities pay, these are
all moon prices. Compared to some other suppliers who sell to private persons S3 is ok though.
They also sell reagent grade Thionyl chloride but not on ebay. It's on hood.de:
http://www.hood.de/i/thionylchlorid-min-99-7-zur-analyse--52...
But 21 EUR for 250 ml is one example of a moon price though. 1000ml for 16 EUR or so would be the "normal" price.
As of today there is no German shop anymore who sells or sends toxic or very toxic chemicals, S3 included. A few allow personal collection.

News
Hi !
I confirm, S3 are very transparent et professionnals. Check their friend http://www.handelskontor-freitag.de/ , could be an opportunity for a vacuum pump etc...
The news :
Some of you knows the onyxmet shop on ebay, but... he held a beautiful shop on internet. Ask him before paying, things are not always in stock.
The second one is metallpulver24.de , i let you guess. Rapid, efficient and useful, cheap...
REM : allsciences accept to sell common chemicals but not the others.
Labware :
1) scientificglass.co.uk > attractive prices, you ask what you need they are blowers !, shipping costs out of UK are
very expensive.
2) sim-products.com (found by ebay) > Professionnals, witeg distributor.
Regards,
Me

S3 not as friendly as it looks first. They request a photocopy of your ID on certain orders (even on ebay orders).

Well known, cheap chem vendors are disappearing (most likely have been banned ) from ebbaay, among e_2718.
He had nearly zero negative feedback .
Does anyone has his contact?

I've just ordered a few element samples from Onyxmet. Their prices seem pretty reasonable. I'll let you know how I get on.
If you're not part of the solution, you're part of the precipitate.

Did you remember chemdreamland-eu on eBay ? I found an old transaction on my paypal and clicked on the website link and i got redirected to http://hadronscientific.pl where the sales contact is Agnieszka Guzikowska which is the same name when i bought to chemdreamland years ago.
GOOOD PRICES ON http://hadronscientific.pl !!! i'll get in contact soon and let you know about.
EDIT : they sell on www.allegro.pl
EDIT : You can also find cheap chemicals on www.1000liter.de , service and quality ok.

For New labware :
https://www.sim-products.com/ has moved to https://sim24.shop/de/
You can ask him what you want from witeg catalog. He take a very little percentage more than the witeg price + VAT.
Example for my "MSH 20D Set" : witeg price 416€ > his price 498€. It's 3€ more than the witeg VATincl price.
I never been so happy before using a wisestir product for synthesis ! Especially for the timer option You cannot make comparison with shitty IKA products.
For Teflon items... yes some are mad of teflon gadgets like probes, compression fittings and more.
www.cowie.com honors your requests.
Their products list and prices 2017 :

I have ordered from S3-Chemicals repeatedly and their service is absolutely formidable. Their online shop is completely transparent - so you can
always immediately see whether you have to send them an ID for confirmation of age or fill out paperwork. If you are looking for more obscure
chemicals, you can just write them a mail and they'll reply within one or two days. Until today, they were able to procure everything I asked them.
The guys there are very friendly and competent.
The cons: As has been said, some chemicals are a little expensive. Also for most interesting chemicals you'll need to fill out end-use certificates,
but that's not their fault, but the fault of the regulator. When the chemical laws in Germany change (as has been the case in Jan 2017), they
immediately change the affected products. Highly recommended, highly reliable.

I confirm. And i add that some chemicals can sometimes pass from category2 to category 1. I take THF as example, he was cat2 (end use certif needed +
ID) and now cat1 (ID only).
Unfortunately, some amines passed to cat3... You need to pick up chemicals in germany, if you're allowed to buy.

Answer from e_2718 :
Pai Pal blocked my account.
And my store became useless, I threw it.
I'll make a new one, but it soon.
Paipal does not like reagents.
I have to make payments through the Moneygram or others.
Best regards, Ruslan.

Not yet, they will be soon , so one can still buy them . Because of health concerns Ger gov recategorised them.
It seeams to me those have to go (from e-bullshit), whom don't fit to "decent chem seller" profile.
BTW w2chemicals.de is gone as well (100% positive feedback).
Reagent-asset had a dispute with e-shit too. They moved to a different platform , but at least still active.
These guys are dying out faster than I thought.

Contact them by ebay, they receive an e-mail even if shop is closed. If they kept stock maybe they can accept to deal in private, and lower the
price...
On ebay, reagents are disappearing, unfortunately they force private sellers to sink deep... in the web.
U see ?

I'm not your grandpa, but, forget this chemical ! Or, why don't you try to make it yourself ? Good challenge no ? Or trying to play with other
molecules like non reducer sugars ?
