Strange "Spam" reports!
So I had posted some topic about copper acetate in the "chemistry in general" section, but it got lost, and I now found some interesting stuff in U2U.
So 12 different users had reported my topic as spam all at the same time! it looks like something, that’s not healthy, so I post it here.

Um. I think you are misinterpreting something.
Not sure what happened to your thread. But it looks to me like you reported something as spam and 12 mods were alerted.
(I am not sure why the inactive mods are still being alerted nor why the number of mods that gets messaged changes -- I think the system is on some
kind of clock. There are times when only a couple of messages are sent out to the mods.)

Those are U2U messages you sent to people, not the other way around.
If you report something as spam, the system autmatically U2Us loads of mods, so as j_sum1 said, they all probably came from 1 post that you reported.

Ohh, I was wondering why are they in outbox section.
Anyway I thought that is connected with disappearing of my thread.
Thanks for clearing that up.

Your thread didn't get deleted, it was just moved to Beginnings. Check your post history.
As to the U2U's, that's how the report button works. It's just hooked up to the U2U system, when you click report, it sends a U2U containing your
message and a link to the thread to all moderators and administrators. (There are a few other behind the scenes scripts, but that's the main thing.)
I believe it should delete them from the outbox if the post is deleted as spam, but that feature is a bit buggy and doesn't always work, as you could
see.
