Vanadium
Hi, how is it with ammonium metavanadate toxicity, is it dangerous dermal? And second, what vanadium compounds will be interesting to make, because
there are not lot of photos of pure crystalline vanadium compounds on internet, so please write your ideas...

According to a MSDS, the main hazards are breathing the dust, and accidental ingestion. You should probably wear a dust mask when working with it. It
can cause skin irritation, but I don't think it's too dangerous because if you get some on your skin you can just wash it off.

Vanadium is a fairly toxic heavy metal, but it is not instant death in a bottle. Compared to e.g. hexavalent chromium, vanadium compounds are
relatively benign. Just avoid ingesting vanadium salts or breathing dust of vanadium salts, but when you work normally, that won't happen. If you get
a solution of some vanadium salt on your skin, don't panic, just rinse the affected skin with some water.
I personally do not use gloves when I work with vanadium or its salts. After experimenting I wash my hands. With mercury salts, lead salts and certain
hexavalent chromium compounds I do use gloves. I have done a large number of experiments with vanadium salts, because of its very interesting and
colorful chemistry. I never experienced any ill effects.

Vanadyl(acac) is an interesting compound, which is not difficult to make and isolate if you have acetyl acetone.
Pervanadyl peroxo complexes also are very interesting with colors ranging from pale yellow through deep red to dark blue, depending on pH and
concentration. It also is not difficult to isolate stable peroxo-complexes.
